Assistant Building Services Engineer

Responsibility

The common responsibilities for this position include reporting to the Project Manager/Building Services Manager on quality control matters, planning and monitoring the progress of building services engineering works for projects, and coordinating with various trades and stakeholders to prepare engineering submissions and documentation. The role involves conducting inspections, checking, and testing for compliance with quality control systems, as well as executing daily tasks assigned by the Supervisor. Additionally, the position requires assisting in monitoring submissions, facilitating spatial coordination of installations via combined services drawings, and coordinating the building services installation program with the master construction program. The engineer must also establish detailed work sequences for on-site services, coordinate with subcontractors and builder's representatives, liaise with statutory authorities and utilities, attend site meetings, supervise progress, and monitor the quality of works. Finally, the role includes participation in testing and commissioning of systems and monitoring defect rectification prior to system handover.
