The common responsibilities for this position include providing general assistance to the Quantity Surveying team for pre and post-contract work, assisting senior QS with quantity surveying duties during all contract stages, handling tender analysis and bidding, administering tender documents, taking off and pricing materials, measuring works, and valuing variations. Additionally, the role involves preparing cost estimations, managing subletting, handling extension of time claims, certifying payments and variations, and settling final accounts. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also liaise with contractors and specialist suppliers, support administrative matters, and attend site inspections, visits, site meetings, or tender interviews as required.
