The common responsibilities for this position include providing general assistance to the Quantity Surveying team for pre and post contract work, assisting senior QS with quantity surveying duties during all contract stages, and handling tender analysis, bidding, and tender document administration. The role also involves material taking off, pricing, measurement of works, and valuation of variations. Additionally, it requires preparing cost estimations, managing subletting, extension of time claims, certifying payments and variations, and settling final accounts. The assistant will liaise with contractors and specialist suppliers, attend site inspections, visits, site meetings, and tender interviews as required, and develop basic Quantity Surveying skills and experience. Other responsibilities include conducting site visits to monitor progress, preparing and analyzing reports related to project costs, assisting in the procurement process, maintaining accurate documentation of project expenses, participating in meetings with stakeholders, and supporting project management activities.
