The common responsibilities for this position include providing general assistance to the Quantity Surveying team in pre and post-contract work, assisting senior QS with quantity surveying duties during all stages, and handling tender analysis, bidding, tender document administration, and material taking off and pricing. The role involves preparing cost estimations, managing subletting, handling extension of time claims, certifying payments and variations, and settling final accounts. Additionally, it requires liaising with contractors and specialist suppliers, attending site inspections, visits, site meetings, and tender interviews as needed. The position also entails performing measurement and estimation tasks, assisting in contract administration activities, preparing valuations of variation works and interim payments, and supporting cash flow forecasts and cost reports. Furthermore, the role includes assisting in contractual claim matters and preparing contract documents for the sub-letting/procurement process, along with performing any ad hoc job duties assigned by the supervisor.
