The common responsibilities for this position include assisting the Project Manager in liaising with clients, vendors, workshops, and subcontractors for project implementation in mechanical and electrical engineering and automation systems. The role involves performing design and drafting for industrial mechanical and electrical systems, machinery, and metal works. Additionally, the Assistant Project Engineer provides technical support, problem-solving, and troubleshooting for various mechanical and electrical systems in industrial plants. The position requires assisting the project leader in overseeing project operations and site coordination, as well as liaising with and monitoring contractors and subcontractors to ensure that the project schedule is met. The Assistant Project Engineer also reviews work progress with contractors to ensure project completion within the target timeline, supports the engineering team for technical submissions, coordinates with suppliers and overseas factories for timely material purchases, and assists in preparing technical manuals and documents for submission. Ad-hoc duties may also be assigned as needed.
