The common responsibilities for this position include managing the Consul General’s diary, travel, correspondence, and meeting preparation, as well as attending meetings with the Consul General and providing reporting and translation/interpretation as required. The role involves organizing and managing Consulate events, assisting with coordinating Ministerial visits, and supporting the promotion of Irish culture through event organization. Additionally, the Executive Assistant will manage the Consulate’s digital communications and social media, focusing on visual material and Cantonese communication. Building and maintaining a network of contacts with key internal and external partners, representing the Consulate at meetings with relevant stakeholders, and performing other duties as specified by the Consul General are also key responsibilities. The position may require carrying out other functions as needed, including periodic out of hours and weekend cover for the Consulate’s consular duty service.
