Assistant Merchandiser

Responsibility

The common responsibilities for this position include performing data entry, checking, and filling in the system with high accuracy; providing clerical and administrative support to the team; assisting in handling shipping documentary work; and completing ad hoc assignments as required. The role involves dealing with end buyers to understand their needs during product development and bulk production, following up on sample and bulk orders, and ensuring timely and quality delivery. The assistant will support production merchandisers with daily merchandising duties, collaborate with suppliers and factories on ordering and production schedules, conduct sample checking, prepare shipment samples for buyer approval, and update merchandising systems for accurate production statuses. Additionally, the assistant will contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of factories, assist with quotations, price analysis, and negotiations with suppliers, and aid in the order allocation process from confirmation to shipment. The role also includes collaborating with fabric mills and garment vendors on material transaction documents, managing the traceability program, leading data analysis, maintaining database accuracy, and monitoring progress towards goals while supporting sustainability projects.
