Responsibility

The common responsibilities for this position include assisting in the production of English and/or Chinese teaching and learning materials in both book and electronic formats, ensuring materials are accurate and align with market needs, and preparing manuscripts through proofreading and copy-editing. The role involves carrying out editorial work for printed and electronic publications, ensuring quality and timely delivery, and liaising with authors and freelancers. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with design and production teams on publishing and multimedia productions, including filming videos and developing interactive games, as well as collaboration with sales and marketing teams in promotion and sales activities. The responsibilities also encompass analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of similar publications, editing and writing sample chapters according to the publishing plan, collaborating with the art department to develop layouts and design covers, and reviewing, editing, and proofreading manuscripts for Chinese publications. Lastly, the role includes issuing illustration requests to illustrators, reviewing artwork, suggesting modifications, and proofreading typeset manuscripts while revising content and layout.
